~~ SINGAPORE GLAMBERTS VIDEO TRIBUTE TO ADAM ~~

The Singapore Glamberts are embarking on a new project! We are going to be creating a VIDEO TRIBUTE to Adam to MARK the momentous occasion when his FIRST ALBUM is released!

What Is The Video Tribute About?
We are going to be taking a great song, change the lyrics to express our love for Adam
Then we are going to have the Singapore Glamberts sing it and record it.
Then we are going to film some footage to play the song to. This might be Singapore landmarks, could be us singing to the song in public places, could be a lot of things – we have yet to iron out the details.
This video will then be uploaded to YouTube and a copy on a DVD sent to Adam

TIMELINE
JULY - Shortlist Song to Change Lyrics to...
AUGUST- Changing of Lyrics & Deciding on the Direction of the Video
SEPTEMBER- Record Song & Start Filming for the Video
OCTOBER- Editing of Video & Putting in the Last Minute Touches
NOVEMBER- Upload Video to Web to Mark Adam's Album Release & Send Him the DVD!

What Do We Need To Do FIRST?
We need all Singapore Glamberts to suggest at least ONE song that you think would be great to change the lyrics to! Post your suggestion/s here!
This song preferably from a ROCK STAR singing an English song eg David Bowie, Queen, Prince, Bryan Adams, Seal etc (please... NO boy bands)
When you post your suggestions... please provide a YouTube link or a download of the song that you are suggesting so that we can all hear it.
Once we have a good list of suggestions... we will take a poll and shortlist the song to change the lyrics to!

This is a project from ALL The Singapore Glamberts to ADAM!

Am actually thinking about the idea I told you a few weeks before.

I'm actually thinking about just taking one or two sentences from a song, then combining them together.
This way, we do not need to think of new lyrics.

For chinese fans, Leo Koo did this last year.

Hi Serene... interesting idea but it would be hard to mesh 3 or 4 elements together.

I think I agree with Nurul... let's stick to the original idea.

Nurul, the song you suggested in interesting... its fun although the original words is actually quite sad - building up and tearing down.

I was thinking whether a Bon Jovi song is possible - their songs are usually quite straight forward and fun!

I've DONE IT! OMG.... I've done it!

Ok guys... I've decided to use Britney Spear's "If You Seek Amy".

Why? Cos Its pop, its Britney, its controversial, its sexy, its a simple tune (hey if Britney can sing it... anyone can). Also... its a FUN song... with the LA LA LA parts something that ALL of us can participate in and have fun with. In fact, we can be very creative if our video to Adam while singing this song - I see special signs with messages to give the song more meaning... funny semi-skits to add more comedy to it etc.

This song can be done acoustic very easily - either with a guitar or a piano - see the video below.

Ok below is the amended lyrics. I've also included Britney's Original version and also a beautifully sang acoustic version.

Please try to sing the amended song to the original music and feedback! I am open to any suggestions to improve it.
